M92 - Globular Cluster in Hercules
Thu Aug 28 2025
Here’s one that I imaged over the last 3 clear nights while waiting for my main target to become visible over my neighbors trees. I seldom image star clusters because most of them are fairly small in apparent size but this one and M13 (also in Hercules) are relatively large. This cluster is thought to have around 300,000 stars in it and is 26,700 light years away from us!
