Sun - 052726

The Sun on May 27, 2026, showing some striking prominences leaping off the edge. The rain here had been relentless, but the clouds broke for about five minutes, just long enough to set up my hydrogen-alpha telescope and grab a 30-second video before they closed back in. Hydrogen-alpha light reveals the seething surface detail and flame-like prominences that plain white sunlight conceals.
