M16 - The Eagle Nebula
Fri May 26 2023
The Eagle Nebula, Messier 16, is home to the famous Pillars of Creation, the towering columns of gas and dust made iconic by the Hubble Space Telescope, where new stars are actively forming. This is my full-color version in hydrogen, sulfur, and oxygen, which also shows the bright 'Star Queen' feature glowing within the nebula.
