SH2-132 - The Lion Nebula
Mon Sep 04 2023
The Lion Nebula, SH2-132, is a faint emission nebula on the border of Cepheus and Lacerta whose tangled gas suggests the shape of a crouching lion. It glows in the light of hydrogen, sulfur, and oxygen, energized by hot massive stars buried within it. This is a close-up view I put many hours of processing into.
