Saturn

Mon Nov 13 2023

I hadn’t done any planetary imaging for the last 2 years so I figured it would be a good time to try it out again while I’m waiting for an adapter to come in for my DSO setup. It took me awhile to get it figured out again and the seeing wasn’t great but this was the best I could come up with. This was the best 25% of about 6800 frames.

Gas Giant Planet

Saturn is the second-largest planet and the jewel of the solar system, famous for its bright ring system of ice and rock. The rings, along with cloud banding and the moon Titan, make it one of the most rewarding targets for planetary imaging.
