NGC 3718/NGC 3729 w/ HCG 56
Sun Mar 24 2024
Here’s one that I’ve been wanting to image for a while and thought this would make a great start to galaxy season! It’s believed that NGC 3718 & NGC 3729 are interacting causing the oddly stretched shapes. They look as though they’re close together but in reality are about 150000 light years apart from each other.
