SH2-129 & OU4 - The Flying Bat & Squid Nebula
Wed Oct 23 2024
Here's one I've wanted to revisit for a long time. I first imaged this a couple of years ago with a color camera and a duo-band filter with little success in bringing out the squid and OIII structures. I knew then that I was going to have to come back to this with a monochrome set up at some point and with all of the clear nights that we've had recently, I decided it would be a good time to try again. I'll likely reprocess this at some point since I'm sure that there's more that can be brought out in regards to the squid but I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.
